CEO and the founder of Tactical Athlete, Mike and his team of performance experts now coach elite sporting and Tactical Athletes from around the world; including organisations such as the UFC and international Special Forces.
Mike was at the forefront of changing the way British Army train today. His vision was to create an army of Tactical Athletes, where he was awarded multiple times in doing so.
His methods are tried and tested from Tactical Athletes around the globe; boasting the highest pass rates for soldiers going through the most arduous military courses in the country. You can learn more about his philosophy of coaching in his best selling book The Red On Revolution.
Dr Ash Cox spent 13 years in the British Army earning the right to wear the coveted Green Beret and British Military Parachute Wings. In the later stages of his military career, he went on to qualify as an exercise rehabilitation instructor (ERI) and refined his practice working as an ERI attached to Headley Court, The Special Boat Service, The Gurkhas, Commando Forces and The Parachute Regiment.
Dr Cox has a history within elite sport as a national and international competitor in weightlifting and powerlifting. After helping redesign the rehabilitation and treatment pathway for P Company candidates, Dr Cox pursued a PhD in sports, exercise, and health science.
Dr Cox has published as lead author in leading international journals and regularly presents his work at global conferences. His work is largely focussed on musculoskeletal health and has featured in government policy papers and rapid evidence reviews. Dr Cox also leads a private practice in an advisory role to coaches and provides mentorship and support to those working in public health, and those working with celebrity clients and elite sportsmen, women, clubs and organisations. He leads the nutrition and clinical aspect of the coaching pathways.
Gary spent 14 years in the British Army and has worked in athlete development, sport and fitness since 2009. His final role within the Army was leading a clinical team at Headley Court as a senior exercise rehabilitation instructor.
Gary comes from an elite sporting background with incredible accolades that include a Guinness World Record, time spent as a GB triathlete, a Hyrox world championship qualifier and multiple wins in Ironman events and running races across Europe.
Gary leads the endurance, athlete development and exercise rehabilitation function.
Head of Performance at Red On, Isaac served for over 17 years in the British Army. Firstly serving within Airborne Forces as a Tactical Athlete before moving across to performance coaching since 2014.
He was the key driver in modernising the RMAS PT programme, making the change towards a more structured strength and conditioning protocol. Whilst also being part of the training team qualified to up skill the Army’s Physical training instructor within S&C.
Isaac believes in the psychological readiness required of soldiers and elite athletes to perform at the highest standards. In one of his last appointments successfully integrated Mental Resilience Training into the PTI training syllabus, and unit training which remains to this day.
Our Military Lead and Head of Accountability, Kenny is a serving Tactical Athlete. With over 15 years in one of the UK's most elite Tactical Athlete units, Kenny has served at Parachute Regiment depot at the Infantry Training Centre as well as P Company, as a gatekeeper to the British Airborne.
Whilst studying for his BSc in Coaching, he is now the lead on 'Op Achilles'; a pathway which has more than doubled the pass rate for Junior Soldiers joining the Parachute Regiment.
Kenny's role within the Tier 1 pathway is to provide up to date advice on Tactical Athlete pathways and course requirements. From course start dates, to changing testing protocols within the military. If anything changes with your aim (e.g. course requirements) then we are the first to know.
Our Female Lead and Head of Data Analysis, Lucy is the lead on all quantitive measurements for our elite sporting and Tactical Athletes.
Lucy's role within the Tier 1 pathway is to provide data captures on all Tactical Athletes. We are data driven and Lucy ensures all data we require from you is is accounted for to help us make informed decisions on your pathway.
